Stacie Mompremier(she/they), LMSW
Heeey y’all! I’m Stacie—NY-based licensed therapist and your guide into The Other Room.
I created this space for people who are navigating inner child wounds, identity shifts, relationship challenges, or honestly… people who are just trying to feel like themselves again
My work is shaped by my own journey of healing as a first-gen Haitian-American (Sak pase!?), raised by my single immigrant mom. I am very proud of my culture and history that is rooted in power, community, connection to ancestry, resilience, and deep, spiritual knowing. However, the inheritance of inter-generational trauma, some old maladaptive beliefs, minimal/few access to resources are quite a cocktail to manage. So, if you know you know. And if you do know—and are experiencing these—just know I see you.
Through my lived experiences, I’ve grown to love the process of self-transformation and becoming.
I’ve seen many facets of healing. It can be tender, mournful, awkward, empowering, celebratory, messy, and… incredibly meaningful and fulfilling.
In Our Other Room—where we co-create more for you together—we get to embody all of these.
We prioritize your healing in your own way.
Your joy, purpose and clarity in life are revolutionary.
Fun Facts About Me
Intersectionality
My social pie is a lot more complex than what you see here and so is yours. Our slices inform a lot of our experiences, beliefs, and values. In sharing these with you, it’s important to see where I’m roughly located when it comes to privilege, oppression, and cultural perspective.
I will honor our conversations about our complexities and hope you are ready to mutually learn from each other. It impacts us immensely, and of course… we’re also more than just a jumble of words. For example, it’s important to note that I walk through life as a Black person or of Afro-Caribbean/African Descent because of the historical, cultural, societal implications it has on my life AND I am more than this.
You are also more than your “categories.”

In The Other Room,
healing is collaborative and soulful.
Thank you for holding space for me with your time. I appreciate you. Let’s learn about you now.
